Booking & Cancellation Policy
How appointments, quotes, travel, rescheduling, cancellations, and no-shows are handled.
Last updated: May 20, 2026
We try to keep scheduling simple: confirm the details, quote before dispatch, meet at the agreed location, and collect payment at the appointment.
Booking Requests
An appointment request is not confirmed until we accept the time, location, service type, signer details, and fee. Same-day, after-hours, hospital, bedside, and emergency appointments depend on availability and travel distance.
Quotes Before Dispatch
We quote the expected total before dispatch whenever possible. The quote may include travel, notarial acts, after-hours or emergency service, witnesses, scanbacks, printing, shipping, parking, tolls, or other agreed services.
Payment
No online deposit is required by default unless separately agreed. Payment is due at the appointment by cash, card, or accepted digital wallet. If an appointment changes materially after dispatch, the fee may be adjusted before the service continues.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please cancel or reschedule as early as possible. If we have not dispatched, there is usually no cancellation fee. If a notary has already traveled, arrived, or reserved emergency/after-hours availability, a reasonable trip, cancellation, or no-show fee may apply.
No-Shows and Unready Appointments
A no-show may include an unavailable signer, missing identification, unsigned parties not present, a signer who is unwilling or unaware, missing required witnesses, incomplete documents, or inability to access the agreed location. A trip/no-show fee may apply when the appointment cannot proceed for these reasons.
Safety, Weather, and Access
We may reschedule, decline, or end an appointment if travel conditions, location access, facility rules, safety concerns, or legal compliance issues prevent service. We will communicate as quickly as possible if this happens.
